Well, we pulled up early this morning and headed to Yellowstone.  It was a scenic drive and guess what?  Tony almost left me!  Yep...he was getting gas and I ran into the little store.  I see the motor home pulling out, so I told the guy to hold on.  I ran out and flagged him and he saw me.  I guess he thought that I was in the back...or maybe he did it on purpose???? HMMMM.  We got to the park and it took quite a while to drive all the way through it.  Our campground is just outside the far entrance; we are staying in West Yellowstone.  We immediately unhooked the Jeep and went exploring.  It is a sad thing to say, but we are not wow'd anymore when we see buffalo as we see them EVERYWHERE!  We saw a bald eagle up in his nest, some deer and elk.  But what was truly amazing were the geysers, hot springs, and mud pots.  Yes, we did see Old Faithful and some others.  There are steam puffs all over the place from the hot springs.  And boy are they hot....it is literally boiling water coming up from the core of the earth...How can I prove it?  Well, first of all..it looks like a pot of boiling water on the stove....next, good ol' Hibb stuck his finger in one even though there are signs everywhere...and he SWORE it was hot.  And they aren't just in specified areas...they are in regular streams on the sides of the roads etc.  And the mud pots are kind of the same.  They geysers are truly beautiful!

I'm glad you didn't have to hitch all the way to Yellowstone. Can't wait to see photos from the park!
