Hi all,

I'm trying to think of the last time that I wrote and I know it's been awhile. We've still been really busy. School's been keeping us really busy. I'll try to recap our last few days..

Mom & Matthew arrived Thursday morning, Ben & I went to meet them at the airport. They didnt have any trouble getting in, which was really good. It ended up they could get into their hotel so we took all of their stuff and got them checked in. Thursday we just walked around, and then had them over for supper that night and then went to the movies to see August Rush. ( I definitely recommend it. It was soo good).

Friday we walked around downtown and did lots of shopping.  I showed Mom Primark (the best store ever) so we spent FoREVVVVver in there, but it was great. Friday night we helped celebrate St.Andrews Day down in George Square, there was a band playing. They were really good. It was pouring down the rain but we still stuck it out.

Saturday, we left around lunchtime and took a bus to Edinburgh. It was so neat, We trekked up the big hill to the castle and spent most of the afternoon there. It was so beautiful, you could really see everything. It was SOOOOO cold and windy!! We got something to eat and then took the "City of the Dead" tour. It was alright, not what I expected though, definitely a tourist attraction, haha.

Sunday, we took a tour of Hampden Park. We got to see the changing rooms, warm up rooms, etc. It was really neat.

Yesterday, we had planned to go the Science Centre; however, when we got there, it was closed. So we took a taxi back into the city center and had breakfast. We ended up just spending the rest of the day shopping. We took them to WalkAbout last night to eat (my volleyball club's sponsor), and then we went ice skating in George Square, it was a lot of fun. Matthew wiped out once so we had a good laugh about that, thankfully he didn't get hurt.

I would have to say this is where the fun ended...and things seemed to do a 360 turn. We were woken up last night by Mom & Matthew at our door. My Aunt Annabelle passed away yesterday morning and Mike had called to tell them, so they came to tell me. I still really don't believe it...She wasn't sick or anything, she just passed away all of a sudden. I was lucky to have a "Grandma #3" as she called herself. My heart aches more than I could ever explain.

The past 24 hours have been the hardest in forever. This will be my last entry as tomorrow morning I am flying home and arriving in Philadelphia at 3:30pm. I know that I was supposed to be home the 15th but because of this, I need to come home now. I would never forgive myself had I not.

Thank goodness I found a flight and Mom was here to help me because I haven't been able to function much at all today. There has been so much I've had to get done to get ready to leave. I was supposed to have a presentation tomorrow so I needed to finish the work to give to my other group members, get ahold of all my teachers to let them know what was going, pay the rest of my rent, let accomodation know I was leaving early, and PACK :( Thankfully, I'm done with everything. Now it's just time for the goodbyes. Everyone has been so good about everything. Jo & Sinead have tried to do whatever they could, and Ben, well words can't express how much he's done for me these past few hours.

This trip has been more than I could've ever imagined. We have had soooo many wonderful memories here and I know neither of us will ever forget them. I would recommend this to anyone, well maybe not Scotland (if they cant handle gloomy weather), but definitely studying abroad in general.

I hope all is well with everyone, and I'll see you all soon. Thanks so much for all of your love & support throughout our time here. If you would, keep emailing Ben while he's here :) (bjunkin@lhup.edu)

Love & Miss you All xoxo
