Saturday January 14 we left Franklin at 6.15 am and drove to Richmond, Kentucky to stay with Barbara's sister Donna and her husband Paul. We breakfasted at Cracker Barrel, one of the sponsors of the Grand Ole Opry the night before. Cracker Barrel started about thirty years ago in Lebanon, near Nashville. This was our third Cracker Barrel stop (over a number of days) - afternoon tea, lunch and breakfast - good quality at reasonable prices.
At Donna and Paul we did family things like looking at photographs in albums. Barbara went with Jason (Donna's older son who also lives in Richmond) and his son Trace to Trace's basket ball game and then to a campsite where Jason was running a scout camp the following weekend. We drove to Jason's home to see his landscaping work - he has done much with big plans for more. That evening Jason and his four children joined us at Donna and Paul's for dinner. We missed out on seeing Jason's wife Cathy because she was visiting her mother interstate.
After an enjoyable family time, left 6.30 am the next morning for the long drive to Williamsburg, Virginia.
