Papallacta isn't really that wonderful as thermal baths go. I think Bath edges it personally and I am sure there are plenty of other wonderful natural hot baths around the world that are streets ahead of it in charm.  I can think of a score in Japan alone.  However as a place to lounge around and spend a few hours in the company of good friends it was an excellent option.

The food there was not too bad either!!
