Arrived in Rotorua on Monday evening after going to Huka Falls on the way out of taupo.
Spent a while on the net uploading photos and stuff (ive got loads! they just need captioning before i send you them all and bore you to tears!)
This morning we got up and went to Whakarewarewa Village (pronounced Fokarera) which is a living Maori thermal village. it was amazing! geysers, bubbling mud pools, maori meeting houses and a great maori performance- songs, dances, hakas, great fun! had to buy a couple of little souveniers as a treat to myself but im glad i did. got a wooden carving of a tiko tiko which watches over everyone in the house, a thermal mud face pack, and a green stone (jade) ring. well, its nearly my birthday - thought i'd spoil myself!!
In Gisborne tonight and tomorrow so will update again soon!
