Crossing over the boarder wasn't the hardest thing in the world here, but I did see the biggest spider ever. That is some scary stuff. It was about 45 minutes from the Panama border to the port where I took a water taxi to Bocas Town, a small town on an island surrounded by more islands, in the Caribbean Ocean. It had a great vibe. The waterfront was lined with restaurants and bars and ports. I stayed here for 3 nights at Mondo Tuitu. this wasn't the cleanest hostel I have been to, but boy was it fun. You couldn't’help but make friends and party it up here. During the day we took a water taxi to Red Frog beach named after…guess what…the red frogs. They are endangered, but some local children would catch them and bring them to show you for a dollar. They are really really red (see pics). At this point I thought I had found the prettiest beach. I keep one-upping myself on this though. I hung for a few days with a local guy, a guy from New York, and a few friends I made from Finland. I ended up spending allot of time with the Finland peeps and continued on to Panama City with them. While in Bocas, I also got to go to a deserted island called Zapatia. The water was nice, like a pool. I also did some snorkeling in the middle of the Caribbean Ocean and saw some dolphins. I didn’t think it could get any better than these islands. I proved myself wrong. Wait till you here about San Blas, Panama. Panama…it’s all good. Originally I wasn’t too excited about it. Later, I decided it was the best place I had visited in Central America, so far. See Panama. Talk to me first.
