Its been a bit of an eventful year, what with getting married, selling and then not selling the house but we finally do it: Newcastle - London - L.A. to start an eight month trip around the world...
I knew we'd left the preparations a bit late when painting the hallway the night before leaving - I was also trying not to worry that it looked (and smelled) like chicken korma. Luckily it dried ok-ish and we got onto the packing proper. My expertise at sitting on things is called for to flatten the rucksacks. Thanks to a combination of my weight and something called 'stuff it bags' (thanks Ella & Ross) our clothes resemble vacuum packed ham and we're ready to go. Also thanks to John and Josie for the loan of half their garage - where does it all come from?
Can't believe I've only got five pairs of pants but this should be ok because using the 'four turns about rule'it should only mean one laundry every 20 days!!! Helen will be a bit better I'm sure....
