Not long now till the big day arrives. Iain and I are both full of a stinking cold. Apparently Iain picked it up from Bob at work and then thought it'd be good sport to pass it on to me. I shouldn't really complain as in some ways it's a good distraction from the last minute jitters and anxiety that we're feeling. There's also the added benefit of knowing that we'll be able to pass it on to any number of people who are flying Glasgow - Heathrow or Heathrow - Delhi on Saturday. Ahhh, if only I had a sinister moustache to twirl.
Anyroad, somehow we've finally managed to get our act together to book tickets, let out the flat and pack our bags to go on our mid (late)- 20's crisis round-the-world trip. Who'da thunk it? We've both had our doubts (last week I was absolutely, definitely, 100% NOT going) and our minor panics but it looks like we're really off. Hopefully over the next 9-12 months you'll all keep up with us on this blog as you never know, it might even be fun.....

well I am Iain's Mum and I'm getting used to a. being excited about the trip b. being jealous c. realising I won't see my wee boy and Helen for a very long time. I'm in awe of the planning that has gone into this and the amount of clearing out has been amazing too. So more than anything I'm totally inpressed at the whole thing!
