I am leaving Stockholm 2mrw for Helsinki, but here is the little taster of what i have been upto, the weather was warm for the 5 days i was here, ha ha i hope it was cold and wet in the UK

Gamlastan(Old town Sweden) - Channging of the guard & Nobel Museum

This was only five minutes away from where i was staying but is a beautiful little town with cobbled town streets, with cute little alleys. The archteture is quaint with it's different colours & shapes and quirky doors & windows

Within Gamlastan there is the royal palace, which is impressive in it's size and craftsmenship. We also saw the changing of the guards where the royal band play, which was pretty impressive(attached is a video)

I also went to the Nobel Museum which was cool, I got to learn about the how the nobel prize came about, it was in albert nobel's will where he wished part of his estate to be awarded to individuals for their efforts in certain categories for intance Peace, Chemistry, Literature, etc. For each cat individuals are currently awáreded(10mn SEK, diploma and a gold medal). If anyone is wondering he built up his estate frm the creation of dynamite

Sigtuna

This is swedens oldest town which is about an hour out from stockholm, it is little like gamlastan whith is small alleys and traditional swedish houses, it also display some ruins around town.

I also decided to climb a tree which i almsot fell out of now that would have been a short ending.

Vasa Museum

This is a display of a huge vessel which had been salvaged after only one outing at sea, it was due it being built incorrectly as it wasnt wide enough to carry the ballast. The vessell is immense and its condition after beeing at sea for almost 300 years is amazing, the deatil of the work is incredible and hopefully will be captured in my pictures

Signspotting

This was so fuunny, to actually see the signs produced round the world was hilarous have a look below

Stockholm Marina

It looks absolutly stunning and summer is def right time to come, as the sea spårkles in the sun

Hostel

it was pretty decent, only prob is it is in the basement so you see no sunlight which is a pain, but it was clean which is the most importnat thing

i met some cool peoplei met two professional gamblers(will & john) who were hilarious, a quebecan(patrice)who was a ice climber(pretty cool) and a Canadien(Jeanine) who i went to a few of the excursions with, into her árt & literature - too intelligant for me

Tried going out on saturday but because of sweden's silly age liomit we could not get in you have to be over 23 or 21 but who cares i can party for the next 10 1/2 months

Stockholm Overview

A really cool city which looks it's best in the summer, and has the best ice cream stall ever. It is bloody expensive and blew my budget a bit. By the way the women are amazing(sorry Mum)
