Koh Tao was finally what I was waiting for :-)  Such a beautiful island, with huge boulders, tree houses, inaccessible beaches....  everything that a girl needs.  And we managed to pick the best spot on the island in Buddha View dive resort.  One good thing came out of Weang Tai- we met 2 sisters, Quinn & Erin, and ended up being next-door neighbours and open water buddies with them.  So, together Teams America, Norway and Ireland put our faith in Jesper and got through our first day in the sea.  After that it was just amazing.  So easy and such fun!  The sites were soooo beautiful and we managed to see sharks on our third day!  There were at least 3 of them and we saw 2 of them swimming around together- absolutely amazing!  Only thing was that we spotted them just after I swam straight into some viscious coral and got sea urchin spikes through my fingers.  Mixed emotions there I'll tell ya!  Green blood spurting from my leg and the most beautiful grey reef sharks only a few feet away!  The other highlight for me was the night dive.  It was so relaxing to be underwater with just the lights from the torches....you get to see the true colours of everything.  All the fish that look pale and transparent are actually pink and the coral is a strong pink/red colour in places.  The other cool thing is that when you sit still for a minute and just wave your hands around you can see sparks!  Mad!  Swimming though the caverns was really cool too....I'm probably sounding boring now, so I won't describe each and every dive!!  But lets just say that it is an abolutely brilliant thing to learn and the most exciting way to spend your time.  And the snorkling was really good too.  We saw either a massive sea bream or Trevor, the infamous trigger fish :)

But as well as the fish and coral we had such a great time.  The nicest people go to Buddha View! and they also do a mean BBQ!  We actually didn't leave the place for days, ended up staying for longer than we had intended and went travelling with some of the people that we met there afterwards.  Hopefully we'll get to catch up with some more soon. Only thing is that I didn't get around to taking any pics, so I'll try to steal some to put in here :-)  Oh, but we did rent an underwater camera on one of the days, unfortunately the worst dive that we had though so it doesn't look as impressive as it should.
