We left the anchorage around 8:20 to be at the first swing bridge, Parker Bridge by 8:45 am. They are working on one side of the bridge so we were informed she would only be opening the North side which is wide enough for us.  The next bridge, PGA , Donald Ross then Indian Town Road.  I've taken pictures of all of them so you can check out the pictures.  After the 707 bridge it’s another 12 miles to the next one, so we put out the jib and motorsailed along.  The ICW kind of reminds me of the Jemseg River.  It’s about the same width across, with sandy beaches and all kinds of tall dead trees.  (The only time it doesn’t remind me of the Jemseg is when you see all the huge houses, with their big Yachts docked out in front.. you’ll see what I mean in the pictures…

We arrived in Peck Lake which looks to me like a cove off the side of the ICW around 1:30 pm.  Dad said we would go ashore and then walk through to the Atlantic side.  So we did and I went for a quick dip in the Atlantic.  The waves were rolling in so I didn't have to go in very far before I was completely wet.  The sun was hot and it kind of reminded me a bit of PEI with the sand dunes.  They had also recently planted alot of grass to keep the sand from blowing away.  The interesting thing here is they have security cameras and they turn every once in awhile for surveillance.  We met a family on an interesting steel boat, a Maine Pinky Schooner.  They were from Merritt Island near Melbourne Florida and they came aboard our boat and we went aboard theirs to see it.  He doesn't have any electricity at all, no engine and only a swing stove and a Little Cod to cook with.  He and his family were trying to go to the Bahama's but instead ended up staying on the ICW, due to all the cold fronts.  We gave them some of our frozen food, milk and a cooler as we will be leaving the boat in a couple of days rather than throw good food away.  We then decided to head a bit North to Stuart around 3:00pm.
