The motel was like a palace in comparison all new mod cons the best so far! It was a 260 km drive from Lake Tekapo, we were both worn out through lack of sleep. We stopped for coffee en route and had lunch, we made a few photo stops but otherwise not very interesting. We both had a rest on arrival, Laura did the laundry then we showered and went out for our evening meal at the local Italian restaurant. Dave made friends with some local duckings on the way out, he certainly knows how to attract the birds.
