We left at 10 am and took highway 1 back to the Moeraki Boulders. We walked to the beach and saw the numerous remarkable boulders, many seemingly perfectly spherical. Some were in the sea and some half buried the sand. we took lots of photos at this very special site.
We then had lunch and made use of the free wi fi in the cafe to write 3 days of our blog. We later returned to our motel and visited the local public gardens. It was lovely to see all the flowers we take for granted at home flowering again. There was also an aviary and large pond area with ducks, Laura made friends with a talkative cockatoo.
