We packed up and went to the museum which opened at 12.00, then saw where the penguins climbed to their nest the night before. We had a sandwich in Harbour cafe, a soft drink in South Island Hotel, the collected our cases and caught 15.30 ferry. Trip not as bad as outward journey but sea out of the shelter of the islands was choppy. We collected our car went back to the Bluff, then to Invercargill to get provisions and gas. Then off on a 90 kilometre trip to Waikava Harbour view Lodge. It was much better than Dave remembered, a four bedroom luxury bungalow with stunning views across the estuary.Unfortunately it was overcast, windy and raining. We unpacked, cooked chicken stir fry then relaxed glad to be on dry land.
