This is just an hour drive north of Rockford, Illinois. The plan is to go to the Kalahari which is an indoor waterpark. However a winter storm is heading toward Rockford later that evening, hence I decided to come back home early before we get caught up in this snow.

In this trip, I learned that the Flamingos are the state bird inspite of the fact that there are no Flamingos in the state. That came out when a group of Government students put up lots of flamingoes in a lawn of a university out of paper mache since they cannot go to Florida for the spring break.
