Fort Santiago is a living proof of the Spanish colonization in the Philipppines during the early 1500's.

It is only now that I learn to appreciate it's importance after I have visited Puerto Rico's fortifications in San Juan, also built by its Spanish colonizer. They surely reminded me of Fort Santiago.

Incidentally, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Philippines were the remaining crown colonies of Spain during the signing of Treaty of Paris in the 1898 wherein Puerto Rico and the Philippines were ceded to the Americans. That's world history.

Anyway, enough for the facts... I hope you'll like the pictures.
