We were only in Lima for one night, long enough to satisfy our need for American Christmas music with a few hours of sipping coffee at Starbucks. I won't lie, it made me a tiny bit homesick to be in such an American place. In fact most of our time in Lima was spent squelching our American food cravings. While waiting to board our plane in the airport (we flew from Lima to Iquitos) we managed to consume apple pie (quite possibly the best I’ve ever had, and my mom makes some mean pies), ice cream, venti lattes, huge sandwiches and lemon meringue pie. All in all if was a very successful fat kid club adventure.
