Tango, salsa, rock and roll...porque no? We found this great little underground, it was literally in the basement of the building, dance club in Palermo. You pay 29 pesos and can take up to three dance classes, each an hour or two long. We went most Fridays at 7 for tango class, then salsa and then another round of tango class. We went every week that we were in Buenos Aires, and now we both can boast a few tango moves...although you'll never catch us doing anything fancy...yet. Everyone in the club was great. Being the giants from Alaska the instructors all remembered us from week to week. Our tango instructor, who was about 5 feet tall, took to calling me his girlfriend and showing me around to all his friends. One of the best things about the place is that it isn't overrun with tourists. There was a good group of locals (mostly in the advanced classes) who just liked to dance. We met some Argentinian engineering students who were regulars there and they saved us from having to dance with too many old men.  Jessie and I went to La Virtua on our last night in BA for some rock and roll classes and to say good bye to our new friends.  We were a little sad to leave, but we vowed to keep up our dancing throughout our travels. Slow step, slow step, tango close...
