We took a couple of days at the end of our month in Ocotal to visit the touristy city of Granada and we loved it. We had a nice hotel with internet access, a swimming pool, breakfast included, a bar, nice atmosphere -- couldnīt have asked for better. We enjoyed spending the days exploring the shops and markets and we took a boat tour of the isletas in Lake Nicaragua -- over 365 small islands are in the lake and many have houses on them -- either privately owned islands with large houses or smaller, local houses inhabited by fishermen who make their livings on the lake.
