Our next stop was only a few miles away, in the village of Beynac. This is a particularly short post as I am falling behind, but I'm making up for it with an obscene number of photos.  There were just too many great ones that could not be left out.  Though apologies for saving time with the photo names.  The campsite was one of my favourites, directly below a castle and beside the river.  The village itself was absolutely beautiful and the castle was fun to visit.  On our last day there we rented a canoe and spent the day on the water, paddling nine kilometers and stopping for a picnic lunch beside the river.  Leonardo was very daring and went for a swim after lunch in the decidedly chilly water.  It was a short swim.

Wonderful photos! The family pics in the canoe are real treasures. Glad you're still having a great time and that you have such beautiful weather. Hugs, Courtney
