Signed myself up for a day trip today. The main thing was some elephant conervation centre and it normally also involves some deerpark. They apologised and said it wasn't available. Oh well, not very bothered. Let's face it, deer are crap in comparison to elephants. So instead we did a couple factory tour things. One was at Royal Selangor. It makes stuff out of pewter or tin maybe. Big tin boom here back in the past. So they make most things individually, like tankards. One style is dimpled. It takes 1000 hits by hand with a hammer and has to be in perfect line. One mistake, you polish it off and start again. Training for this can take anything from 6m up to 2 years. We had a go......I was crap at it. Despite my hardest concentration! They also randomly showed us the world's largest beer tankard standing at over 6ft and able to hold approx 3000L. Party time!

After this we went to the Batu Caves which I was looking forward to. There's a big golden hindu statue thing outside these massive limestone caves. 272 steps up into the entrance aswell. On the steps there are heaps of monkeys! They are used to the tourists though and are clearly there for our food. One was tucking into a packet of crisps! Place was really nice though. Attached photos. Oh! and I nearly forgot. Tried on a snake. As you do. Kinda felt like a leathery bean bag. Tried to look calm but I'm not really sure I was rockin' the snake look!

Next up was the elephant place. I'm undecided on my opinion of it. I'm not becoming some animal activist and I do understand chains were needed for our safety incase they go mental but occaisionally to stand there there was a chain round their foot. Which isn't nice to see really. None the less I fed some of them there and also got an elephant ride. Was sooo damn busy though that the ride was brief. Was still cool though.

Out here it sits at around 30.C. Air conditioning is my friend! Foods fine too. Find that I'm actually eating indian food more. Roti. It's like a thinner version of naan bread. Had an egg type one for breakfast, with this spicy chicken dipping sauce. I sense I'm going to eat it everyday!

That's me for now!
Love to all xxxx

You held a snake??? Haha brave

Just out of interest did you have the prince Ali song from Aladdin in your head during the elephant ride? I am shamefully guilty on this!
