Why is it that approx half of the boaters out at the moment do not slow down past moored boats? We always do. Most hire boaters seem to. BW boats - some do, some don't. I look at the people at the helm of boats whizzing past us and think, "Don't you ever get frustrated by boats whizzing past you, especially when you are only pinned in?" Then it occurred to me that maybe the whizzers only ever moor on mooring rings at designated visitor moorings and never stop in the middle of nowhere as we usually do. We were moored on pins last night and all was well till about 8 o' clock this morning when boats started to go by. I did check from time to time that our pins were still in place and one of the first things Bryan did this morning when he got up was to go out and bang our back ones back in. The second time he went out to do it a boat was actually going past and was watching him do it. When we finally left the mooring this morning, all 3 of our pins were out. The only reason we were still against the bank was because the wind was blowing very hard and holding us there.

Anyhow, we are moored just before Brewood. We remember the moorings there as being rather dark and under the trees so we shall moor in Brewood itself tomorrow. Expecting Eian, Claire and the girls for a lunchtime visit tomorrow on their way to Wales so need to check out where to meet and where to eat etc.

Quick note for other boaters. The garage at Wheaton Aston on the offside, sells the cheapest diesel yet. 74.9p per litre. We made good use of this and topped up out tank.
