Today in class with the women we were teaching long division....well Constanze was mainly and I assisted cos I suck at it! Then we did shapes and fractions which I am a lot better at thankfully! With the girls we did some subtraction and then a bit of English focusing on opposites like hot and cold etc. It seemed to go pretty well apart from one of the girls was in a really hyperactive mood but I guess we all have days like that! For some reason we all felt really tired on our lunch break, maybe cos of the heat, so we decided to have a power nap and it actually kind of helped although the women at our project found it really amusing and starting taking pictures of us so it wasn't entirely relaxing!
After work a group of us went to a place called Anokhi which is about 15 minutes away by tuk tuk
They also have a really good bookshop in the same building so we had a browse in there and I bought a book on Hinduism in an attempt to try to understand it a little better, I thought I should at least try! Also bought Grazia magazine which is more my usual level of reading, ha ha.
After dinner a few of us girls decided it might be a good idea to try on our saris and see if we could manage putting them on ourselves, not as easy as it looks I can assure you! Although I think we actually did a pretty good job and didn't have to consult YouTube which is quite impressive! God knows if I'll remember how to do it by the time I get back home though...
Later on I rounded up a few peeps to come and get a lassi with me from a place nearby to satisfy my craving then came back and started watching Snow White and the Huntsman. I was happy to be interrupted by a FaceTime convo with my bro so that was really nice.
Looking forward to tomorrow although it's nearly 2.30am here so I should really get some sleep!
