A few of us went to check out Baga beach which was an experience, I felt like I was in bloody Blackpool! Brits everywhere...I came to India to get away from these people, argh!
We had a long walk and it was nice to get some fresh(ish!) air and paddle in the sea for a bit to cool off. Got a bit of hassle from the locals as you'd expect, offering boat rides, jet ski's, free wifi, blah blah blah! A new one was offering clean toilets as if that's a selling point although actually it is a bit of a rare find in India!
Quite a few of the others from our group checked out at midday so more goodbyes to say which I am really not good at! I've had such a great time with these peeps over the last 2 weeks and I get a bit emotional when everyone goes their separate ways, I'm such a sap!
Our hotel has a nice pool so cooled off in there earlier which felt so good cos it's hotter than the sun outside! Plenty of Brits sunning themselves and Russians too which is kinda weird. I get the impression they come to Goa to let their hair down!
I was due to stay here tomorrow night but I'm pretty keen to leave this area as I feel like I'm somewhere akin to Benidorm right now so have booked to stay in Panaji with Shelley who was on the tour with me. It's closer to the airport and the city has a Portuguese influence apparently so it will be good to explore another area for a day.
After that I will be heading to Mumbai which I am so excited about!
I wonder if anyone has received my postcards yet...hmm I'm thinking not judging by how slow everything else is in this place!!
