This seemed quite a drive but it was SO worth it.  I got to stroke a rescue horse!  Wow, I actually love horses.  Then, I bought an amazing book about stars in the giftshop.  Anyway, onto the park.  Again, we did the 8 mile drive but we also got out and hiked a bit of a trail (it was close to sunset and we needed dinner and accomodation!)  Amazing rock formations, hopefully the pictures will do it justice.

Decided we would have dinner in the closest town that we passed through on the way, named Wilcox, I'm going to put it on the map - its not on the map, too small a town.

Anyway, this was proper physcoville!  There was an old train carriage that they use as a restaurant and the whole god damn town must have been in there, we were the strangers from the outside world!  Anyway, my dinner was chicken, pork and steak, vegetarians nightmare.  The quality wasn't that great I'm afraid to say, I had had such high hopes for this small weird town.

After this, we got the hell out of there and started to make our way to the next destination which would be white sands, we stopped off at a physco motel in Las Cruces.  35 bucks a night, so thats about 10 bucks each!  Room was ok, nothing great but it was all so american - pulling up at about 11pm wanting a room!  :-)
