We almost missed our flight to Singapore because we didn't read our ticket (purchased just the afternoon prior) carefully. Don't worry, we made it! Landed in Singapore safe & sound.
Andrew's freebies again, After taking the subway from the airport, we stayed at The Conrad Singapore, part of the Hilton family.
The views from our room were stunning.
We checked in and went to look for food and accommodations for the next few days. We were pretty successful at both, but it would be hostels for the remaining nights.
Singapore is HUMID! Thank goodness for leave-in conditioner, otherwise Daniela's hair would be out of control! By the way, Daniela is refusing to wear a bandanna during this trip.
The next evening, we decided to go on the Night Safari at the Singapore Zoo. It's pretty much the zoo, but at night. It was fun and educational.
Day number 3 in Singapore, we go to Sentosa Island during the day and a City Tour by kickbike at night.
Sentosa island has several theme parks on it as well as beaches and bars.
It was a pretty nice visit. On this island, you can reach the southernmost tip of continental which nicely had a rope bridge set up to avoid getting our feet wet.
At night, we did a kickbike tour of the city and it convinced us to stay another day before we head to KL.
Our last day we went to the science centre, hung out and ate dinner on Chinatown then headed to the river to enjoy the sights, sounds and a cold beer. We found a spot to settle in on a bridge near Clarke Quay. Everyone was just hanging out. It was a nice final night.
More pictures coming soon.
