Well, there's not much to say in this entry besides that I really, really like elk. I think they are the prettiest, most majestic animals in the Rockies. A symbol of mountain living at its finest!
And in Estes Park they are so numerous in the fall rut they are almost more like pests than anything else. Here they are, invading the local golf course, and I assure you they do the same on the roads. They have zero concern for the hurry of passing motorists and our silly schedules! They only have one thing on their minds... Ok, well, maybe two. That and eating. ;)
