Day 155 Wed 12th April 2006
Moving to Jalandhar

I had a bit of a lie-in this morning, just trying to catch up from the last few days. I moved over to Jalandhar today, to spend time with the lads as they are only here for a week or so. I put my bag down in the Kamal Palace Hotel, Danny, Ajee and Anil have a room there and I just crashed in with them (thanx lads).

We went out to the music shop, all the lads wanted to buy instruments so I took them to a place that I knew, they all went a bit mad in there and kind of ordered 3 of everything! We seemed to be in there for quite a while, but it was all good fun. After the music shop we made our way to the office so I could drop the car back and then went to Kadke Glassy, a bar near the hotel. We had some food there and met up with Jag and his crew. Banger and I went to Neel Kamal Tailors to get our Bhangra outfits sorted for tomorrow. We chose some fabric and got measured up for our outfits, they should be ready by tomorrow afternoon, well they better be ready or else I have nothing to wear for the big performance at Rangla Punjab. While we were in the bazaar I met my cousin from back home and Alka from Basti. I told them about the show and they all wanted tickets, so I will get them in advance just to be on the safe side.

We were in a taxi that Danny had organised for the day, and after the bazaar we made a trip up to Ajee's pind. It was about 40 minutes away from Jalandhar and we got there around 7pm, that's was kind of late as they had been waiting for us most of the day! We chilled there for the evening and had dinner (and a glassy) with Ajee's uncles. Ajee stayed the night as his Pind and the rest of us got back to the hotel at around 10pm and stayed up till 3am watching some videos of the lads doing crazy stuff before we met up. We were in stitches, I'm sure they must have been under the influence at the time!

It's been a great first day with the lads, just like being back home but way better. We had such a laugh today, the pictures probably give you a better idea then words do....Before today's pictures are a collection of pictures from the lads, so you can see what they got up to before we met!
