New Years Eve.
The religious thing at Bhabi's sisters went ok this morning, we got there about 11.30 and left around 4.30, it was pretty boring really, these things usually are when you don't really know anyone there! The girls got to see a real live snake and experience a Desi People Carrier (see pics). We made our way to Jalandhar to drop Bhabi and the girls off and do the whole New Years Eve thing. We were really up for a boy's night out, me. Soma and Gagan. We dropped the girls and Bhabi off and I called Vindod (I came here for his wedding) to see what he was up to, he said he was not going out but to come over because his uncle had come home from having a major operation. I wanted to go and see Uncle so we made our way over to their house. Uncle has had a cancerous lump removed from his lower jaw, he is a wonderful man, he has spent his whole life looking out for his brothers and ALL their kids, right now all I would ask god for is his speedy and safe recovery
. Times like this you wonder if there is a god out there at all but you have to believe he is out there somewhere. To see him in that state was hard, he's always been a very sociable person and a great laugh to be around. It makes you realise that wealth is nothing without health and that every day, hour, minute and second is precious. I would ask everyone who reads this to say a little prayer to whomever you believe in for my Uncle Darshan and everyone else in the world who is suffering from ill health. It goes without saying we left Vinod's in a sombre mood, we made our way to Webworld. I just wanted to email everyone my best wishes for the New Year, while I was in there I had a phone call from Amrit saying he would like to have a video-convo with the girls. I was already thinking of calling Bhabi to arrange going out somewhere with her and the girls, so I arranged to pick the girls up bring them to Webworld and meet up with Babhi and some of her family later on. The web cam worked this time and it was really nice for everyone who was there to be able to see each other and have a chat. After Webworld we tried to get into Rangla Punjab but they were full, they had a huge waiting list at Haveli so we cam back into Jalandhar, we ended up at Pizza Hut of all places! I was actually quite good, at midnight the staff did a count down and a short dance routine (see vid), it was pretty cool. I will never forget the excitement in Simran's voice, again I felt really lucky to be seeing in the New Year with people that I love, especially Simran and Daveena. After the madness had died down we dropped Bhabi and the girls off to her mums and made our way back to Pind. We got back here for around 2am and the whole Pind was dead silent, no one really stays up to see the New Year in.
I have already sent emails to everyone wishing them the very best for 2006, but if you didn't get on or I don't know who you are(random people surfing the site), hope you all have a prosperous new year, may it be filled with love and happiness. Love to you all Harvi
