Day 60 Thur 29th Dec 2005
Visiting the Masian.
Last night was very cold, let me just begin with that! I had arranged for Gagan to pic us up this morning around 10, we had a long day ahead of us so I wanted to get an early start. He got there in time for breakfast (parantey), we set off for 11 which is still early enough. We were on a mission today to visit my Masian (mums sisters), there are three of them over here, two of them are close to Rurka and the other one is over by Jalandhar. Out of the first two only one was home, this means a return visit will have to take place later on. On the way to the third (and my favourite) massi we stopped off at Mcdonald's, near Jalandhar. I don't think Daveena has been eating well, even there I ordered her a burger and she said she didn't like it then I got a special one made with no sauce or cheese in it and we called it the Daveena special, she loved it. It's the Daveena special for her from now on. It was nice to see my Masian again, Sim & Din were there usual reserved selves (the whole new people thing), on the way back from my favourite massi's house we drove through the Pind where my mum was born, I stopped the car to show the girls the house where she was born and brought up, Simran wanted to go inside and see but no-one lives there anymore and the doors are all locked, I told her she would have to come back with Bibi to see inside the house. I think Mcdees was the highlight of the day for them. We all got back to Pind for around 9, we are planning to go shopping tomorrow in Jalandhar and Phagwara, I'm not one for the whole shopping thing I'll probably end up keeping the girls entertained, there is one place in Phagwara called Frontier that I would like to go and see. It's supposed to be THE place for the latest Indian clothing, lets see what its all about!
