Sunny's Birthday
I got up at a decent hour this morning, 9am. Now that's normal, I have had my fill of 5, 6 and 7am starts! I went into Jalandhar this morning with Soma to buy a present for Sunny. While I was there I checked my mail, some members of my family have remarked (cussed) me about the state of my health saying I have lost too much weight, well I am trying my best! So just leave it! Anyway I brought an outfit for Sunny, a card and some of those candles that don't blow out. We cut the cake around 2pm, the boys had some fun trying to blow out the candles. We cam back to Pind on the bus, its always good travelling on the bus because there is always something weird or funny going on. The first bus we were on from Rurka to Jadiala drove past a scooter that had stopped at the side of the road to change a flat tyre. The bus was pretty fast on the approach to the scooter and this scared the lady that was standing by it, she gave the driver a dirty look so as he drove past he stopped the bus and asked the husband and wife what was up. The husband just said he had a flat, not knowing about the dirty look, as the bus drove off the lady started swearing at the driver and the ticketwala heard her. That was it all hell broke loose the driver stopped the bus and half the passengers got off with him, it didn't come to blows but it was entertaining to say the least.
The next bus was driven by a typical bus driver they don't go nowhere without 'Jarda' under their lip (Jarda is like tobacco mixed with a paste, this is placed under the lip for a constant supply of nicotine. Theres never a dull moment on a Punjab Roadways bus, even when you are waiting for the bus to set off they have numerous people coming on to try and sell you stuff(see vids).
