Okay so it was time for me to go into the city for a bit and I had plans
to meet up with Lizzie but first I went to the incredible market at
Homebush with Carole and John. The pick-up-trucks were lethal and nearly
killed me a fair few times. To quote Pee 'the selection of fruit and
veg was incredbile' and it was really interesting to see such a huge
market a few days before Christmas. A hundred dollars later we hauled
all the stuff up to the top of the car park where our car was before I
got dropped off at the station to get the train into the city. So I went
up for a walk round the trendy inner east suburbs and then headed up to
Kings Cross to Maccie Ds then I dived into the sun as it finally came
out. Had a sunbake in a park and then had a walk round Potts Point,
Embarcation park then down to Woollomoloo and to Mrs Macquarie's chair
where I sunbaked (without creme) for an hour and a half and then walked
round to the Botanical Gardens and then to Customs House after which I
met up with Lizzie who took me over to the Opera Bar to meet her
friends, one of whom was from Soberton (soberville). He was called Rob
and lived with some incredibly rich banker wanker friends who kept
buying us bottles of Champagne. I was having the time of my life until I
realised I was probably getting burnt and should get home. I went back
and arrived home rather pissed to Carole's surprise who gave me some
Butter Chicken to gobble down. After I had sobered up a bit I went to
see some ridiculous street in Ashbury which had every single house lit
up and a traffic jam like Glossop Road but on a suburban street. It was
incredible. Old Italian ladies were handing out lollies and children
(some of the weenies) were playing carols in their front gardens.
