A dull but dry morning and the traffic outside was already busy as we got up and ate our 'lucky dip' pastries from the local bakers. Out on the bus for 8.30am and into the now thick traffic. It was just like a Monday morning in a city anywhere in the world.

Eventually we made our way out of the city and into quite flat countryside, where many people were working in the fields on a variety of crops. No rice here and many times I saw water buffalo being used to plough the fields.

We made one 'comfort' stop before finally arriving at the town of 'Wuhan' after five hours, eating lunch en route. Going into the modern station we waited to board our train for another overnight saga.
