Wow what a crazy time has been had since the decision to pack up and head back Oz. The house packing seemed simple enough however Nepal came to the party and had a nation wide Bandha which translates to nothing is open and no traffic moves.. Yep no joke the whole country came to a standstill for the whole day for a reason that still baffles me so i wont go into it.... Long story short Gyanu from NAMUNA agreed to help move our stuff on the Tuseday so we could head to Phokara to off load the bike with Nathan at Bullet Base Camp and renew our now nealry expired visa.

We had advertised the bike on a KTM web site and again long story short a Nepali chap convinced me he would buy the bike if i brought it to KTM. So against my better judgment i left Lisa in Phokara to her own devices and i rode to the agreed meeting place the KTM Guest House.

I arrived in KTM at 5.00pm straight into the peak hour traffic.... freaking crazy ended up riding down a one way street the wrong way... even the Nepali were concerned.. not to be detered i forged on..arrived and the moment i climbed off the enfield a couple of French/Canadians walked past..stopped and said wow cool bike... yep i responed, its for sale... really...yep $60,000NPR... really wow... so again long story short the Nepali chap did not come through with the goods... i met the other couple in the O2K restaurant and we struck a deal.... the very next morning i introduced them to the bike and instructed them on the quirks of an Enfield...there are a few... then before i realised the true impact of what was happening off they rode on what was now my ex bike..i was sad and excited that the dream would continue...truth be know i really wanted to sell it to a forigner for reasons that only make sence to me.

Oh by the way Lisa did re-join me the following day and once again things then got really wierd....yep even we were intrigued... walking down a street a monk was walking towards Lisa and she decided that she recognised him and stopped to talk... again long story short we ended up having Christmas eve dinner with this chap in an Italian Restaurant in Thamel Nepal... The facinating thing about this monk was he spoke perfect English and was the first monk to be ordained ....is currently 21 years old monk who is beleived to be the next Buddha living in the forests of Chitwan... check out this link http://www.etapasvi.com/en/video/57/bodhi-shravan-dharma-sangha   and the monlks story is http://www.etapasvi.com/en/stories/75/my-ordination do what you want with this info it your free will.

So the bike is gone... we have recieved info that is significnatly intriging and now we are about to fly to Singapore where we will spend 8 days in Sumatra while waiting for the connecting flight to Oz.

Wow, so many stories in such a short time, a great experience that you will definitely reflect upon! Thinking of you both, enjoy the trip back, and the time in Sumatra xx
