A couple of tips for those of you starting out on big journeys:
- Get yourself a Nationwide Flex account and use it at cashpoints abroad. They won't sting you for comission every time you withdraw money from a cahspoint and their exchange rates are competetive with most other banks.
- Take a 4 in 1 (at least) memory card reader away with you to be able to easily transfer digital photos from your camera's memory card to an internet cafe PC. You can then do whatever you want with them to make sure they are safe (burn to CD, email home, post on a website like this one, etc.)
