Today, we spent a day in old downtown.
As it was Friday - prayer day - we didn't expect much action.
We just walked around, Our boss showed us some interesting places and buildings, explained a little bit history, we enjoyed the breeze in the blasting sun, had a good lunch and finally a (alcohol free) drink in a bar called "Havana juice" (a ripoff of the Havana bars).
When we were straying around, we passed by at a closed mosq and watch inside through the windows.
After a few minutes, a guy came and asked us if we want to go inside. we followed his invitation, and learned that it was a church before from the Italians, built 1911, and after the revolution, it was changed into a mosq. The guy told us, that we have to go now, as there is a wedding now, but we are very welcome, if we wait, to join the party after. We declined, and headed on our way in the meanwhile awaking city.
What a beautiful day. Insha'allah.
