Why do you think Mayotte decided to remain a French Protectorate? Many Comorians have an attitude problem and they think someone owes them. In Bob Denard's time there were South African farmers proving it is a very fertile place with huge potential but how can you inculcate that into people who dump all manner of refuse including syringes and the contents of bedpans onto the beaches? They still harbour anger towards their old colonial masters, the French and by so doing are living the prophecy! Great pity as there are some lovely Comorians who would do well under an effective non corrupt government.
you sucker!
a very short rejoinder after I went to so much trouble to comment on your impression of the Comores!
That was not my rejoinder, since I largely agree with you that the place has an attitude problem. Sorry for slow response. I was traveling at the time and simply forgot. Thanks for your input.
