Stayed at the La Quinta in Bend Oregon last night. Enjoyed the nice perk of a delicious free breakfast.
Afterwords I enjoyed a soak in the hot tub, it was rather short because some children decided to join me and yea not very relaxing.

Grabbed my things and headed out for a quick tour south of Bend of Lava Butte National Park. So a "BUTTE" (yes I pronounced it wrong too until Paula corrected me) is a small volcanic cylinder. There are literally hundreds of them in the area. There was a nice lava field to check out. You actually drive up the Butte to the top of the cylinder. There are several hiking trails in the area if you so desire.
The temperature is still in the 50's I am trying to acclimatize myself to the cold... aka not layering... yeah real smart! I met some older folks on the top of the Butte. Had them take a picture for me. That of course left for free reign for comments about some crazy girl with no coat on.

Anyway I head out for my trek out to Idaho. This long drive on route 20 East took about 8hrs to get from Bend to Boise. This is of course with frequent shi shi breaks since my bladder can be compared to a peanut. The drive was very long and flat. I did get to see some Llamas though! Very random. I was getting so tired..... finally reached Idaho.... Wahooo!!!! 75mph speed limit...... now we are talking. Not that I was obeying it in the first place. When I first rolled over the border I opened my window for some fresh air........... beautiful delicious.... ONION! It was everywhere... Western Idaho has a lot of farmers that grow plenty of onions b/c you could smell it from the highway.
I arrive in Boise, check into the Courtyard Marriott.

After an 8vhr drive I was starving. So of co rse I chatted up with Paula she gave me the hook up for Boise. I decided to head down to her old bar Pipers for some grinds... and a pint. Tried some local beer. Mirror Pond Ale.. from Deschutes (where I was last night) it was delicious. I ended up meeting a couple of local guys Steve and Scott. We ended up talking story for a bit. I had a great time it was very chill (great place thanks Paula) Then Steve decided HE wanted to start doing some shots. The owner brewed up his own concoction, now named the Motherflower, This involved a shot of 151 topped with some pink alcohol, then this is set on fire then dropped in a glass of beer and chugged like an Irish Car Bomb. The video will be on on here or you tube. I think he ended up having 4 of those..... Anyway it was a great time. I played it safe and called it an early night. So, I decided to head back to the hotel and crashed... I was exhausted.
