We ate our way through France, including a multiple Pattisserie, 3 hour stop in Cannes. The train arrived in Cannes at 6:15 AM from Ventimilliga (on the France/Italy border) and I was standing outside a Pattisserie at 6:55 waiting for it to open at 7:00 . My broken French produced a couple Flan, a still warm baguette and a "pain au raisin" ... a tasty, if not nutritious breakfast.

We spent the balance of our layover window shopping, checking out the very modern convention center (where many cannes film festival events are held), and walking the docks, finding motivation for future business efforts in the yachts and sail boats that filled Cannes harbor.
