Another half term, another cake sale!
We had quite a few ingredients and decorations left over from our last cake sale so didn't have a lot to buy saving us money! However we did have to do our usual shopping trip to Lidl and Asda for a few bits!
We baked less cakes this time round as we are only selling for one day as its good Friday; 200 fairy cakes,100 chocolate cornflake cakes and 100 bunny rabbit biscuits!
Despite a small hangover from Amy's 18th birthday celebrations the night before we did very well and got them all made in record time, and they looked fab; i think the sausage, egg and bacon sandwich helped!
We also did an easter raffle, we sold tickets for 50p and the prize was 4 easter eggs and quaking duck - ( see the pictures) ! I was very impressed with how it looked, Ella and I spent about half an hour trying to wrap it up! Thanks for the help ells!
Amy and I went around all the house times at school selling tickets and promoting our cake sale. We also got to tell more people about what we were raising the money for, and found we got a lot more support.
"Your hoodies are rapid" a quote never to be forgotten. A small child said this after buying some raffle tickets, he was adamant he was going to get a leavers hoody just like ours!
We sold around 60 raffle tickets and nearly all the cakes making £120, we were very happy! We couldn't have done it without all the help we, thanks Ella and Kate for decorating, and everyone who helped us sell! o and i cant forget Mum and Dad for letting us use the kitchen!
