Breakfast at the Hotel.
Walk down the long hill from our "Tunel" neighborhood to the Golden Horn.... the river that divides this newer part of town from Sultanahmet, the older part of the city we left.
Still on this side of the river, we visit the Jewish Museum, in an old synagogue.
We stop for tea and Hannah notices that we are close to the Levy Kosher Restaurant, so we go there for a very nice meal from very nice people who then hand us a bill for nearly 70 dollars!!
Then we see a gorgrous old mosque called the "New Mosque." Not a tourist destination because it is "only" 700 years old, but our book says that visitors are welcome except during prayer times.
Back across the bridge, then instead of climbing back up the steep hill, we ride the "Tunel" -- one of the world's first subways. It just has two stops... bottom of the hill and top of the hill, in the "Tunel" neighborhood. The station at the top is a few hundred feet from our hotel.
We stroll around the neighborhood, Hannah shops at some little shops, we stop for a small salad and head for bed.
