Day 41 - October 27
We were out early this morning and on the road by 7:30 after making our oatmeal at the park where we visited the farmer's market yesterday. The first part of the ride was cold and foggy and not too easy either. There was alot of busy traffic on the road for a weekday and really not much of a shoulder for those first 15 miles. When we got to Guadalupe, we stopped at a market, where everything was in Spanish, and got a good deal on grapes and box of crackers to eat with the rest of the hummus that we bought at the farmer's market. Just down the street, Brian pulled over and said we should stop for breakfast. We got breakfast burritos for cheap, and I went into coffee overload after only 2 cups. The rest of the ride was along fields and we had one major climb before we got here. Again there wasn't a shoulder and it was very hot making the climb even less enjoyable, but on the bright side tomorrow is our last major climb of the whole ride.
We made our way to the library and we called the campground we were planning on staying on and got a good surprise: $5 a night! That made our day!
