As we kept the 4x4 for another day we decided to make the most of it and got up around 8am to get breakfast, problem was the island is dead until about 11am so it was a ghost town, we managed to find somewhere for breakfast and then set off to find something to do. We came across a game called 'goal in one' which is basically football golf. We only had flip flops on so ended up playing bare foot, which became more and more painful the more we played and we ended up with one really red foot from the constant smacking of the ball.
To the guys amusement I was ace... Actually really really bad! I would take a run up to the ball so it gave the impression I was going to boot it when in actual fact I would abruptly stop in front of the ball and kick it in completely the wrong direction... Surprisingly I lost! It was funny listening to the boys making excuses about why they were playing so bad, clearly it was the lack of shoes. Leigh was the champ so he got to hold a big trophy for about 2 minutes... Easy come easy go. Jamie had a smaller trophy again for 2 minutes and I got the pleasure of holding a watering can!
On route we found a driving range so stopped to hit some golf balls... I was pants!! I mistakenly said I was left handed but realised I was more comfortable right handed so had to put up with how they had set it up.. I got bored far too easily anyway so Leigh and Jamie started competing to see who could shoot their golf ball closest to a point. When Leigh snapped the head of a golf club we decided it was time to leave.
Our original plan today was to seek out the waterfall, we did attempt this but instead decided to follow the sign to a swimming pool.. Slightly different!! We had to drive up really steep bends to get there and noticed we had an older couple behind us on mopeds, we were actually surprised that mopeds made it up and when we parked at the top Jamie went to tell the woman 'Weldone for getting to the top' and she went right on her side on the gravel. We made sure she was ok and she kept insisting she was so we went and had lunch. In the middle of eating she comes hopping in with the support of her husband still insisting she was ok??!! The swimming pool was just what the doctor ordered if not slightly too cold but we dived straight in, the best bit was it was an infinity pool overlooking some amazing scenery. We spent quite a while there as it was only the three of us, practicing the three man tower (there is photos to prove our accomplishment) the tourists started to flock in taking photos posing around the pool so we decided to leave on that note.
Driving around we did eventually make it to see a waterfall but it was quite disappointing.. We were told there was a better one though so thought we would leave that for the next morning before we had to give our trusty 4x4 back!
Arriving back in the crazy town of Samui we decided to be far too cool and have a movie night in Jamie's room because myself and Leigh were too poor for a tv in our room... We convinced Jamie to pay more so we could use him for his tele.. He loved the company though so happiness all round!
