Our last day of school was very emotional, we had gotten very attached to the kids so it was horrible to say goodbye. One of the girls came over to me and said, excuse me miss but I would like to please kiss you on the cheek, so she did and it just made me cry loads
My favourite activity this week has definitely been learning how to ride a motorbike, I'm an absolute pro! :D Our new school that we will be teaching at next week is 8km away, so we get to go by motorbike rather than pedel bike- win.
The new SKIP house looked alot more promising than the Chhuteal house, it was made of brick and actually has walls and a floor. We were all pretty happy with it until we needed the loo. There is no running water, no shower/sink/toilet. At first I thought it was a joke and we would be shown the real bathroom soon enough, but nope, all we have is a hole in the floor and a tank full of dirty water. The tank is used for flushing the toilet by scooping out water and throwing it down the loo, and also for showers. Its rank. Thankfully we only have a week here and then we are headed to Bangkok where it will be slightly more civilised.
Recovered from my illness which happened last weekend in Siem Reap. Lucy and I started feeling unwell and it got to the point where we couldn't get out of bed, so we went to the hospital along with Natalie, and between the three of us we raked up a $1000 medical bill. Lucy and I had gastroentiritis, caused by bacteria probably from some sort of food poisoning. Was well ill but we are all okay now.
Heading back to the house now and its raining super hard. Ciao!
