Tentative entry to come...dunno about that
Hey all, quick sales pitch. If you think what we have done in Peru is a good thing, and are looking for an opportunity to donate some money to a good cause, but dont know where to start...you've come to the right place. We are off to another disaster relief project in Bangladesh. A hurricane Katrina sized storm smashed into the souther coast, just as the area was beginning to recover from an unusually destructive monsoon season. Thousands of people were killed, and the area was completely leveled.
We will be there for 3-4 months working with Hands On Disaster Response (www.hodr.org) in an effort to restore some degree of normalcy to the area. The project will include clearing home sites so that people can return to their homes to rebuild, clearing school sites, and building temporary as well as permanent structures to accommodate families and schools who no longer have a place to live or study.
I certainly don't expect anyone to make a donation, but if you do have some money burning a hole in your pocket...why get an iPhone?, they aren't even that cool anyway. You can make tax deductible donations through the Hands on website at www.hodr.org.
Stay tuned for some wild stories from relatively untraveled Bangladesh. I can assure you that these will be amusing.

Bon Voyage yet again!
John and Kristina,
Peru and Columbia are now memories. You left early this morning, and I hope you have a productive, important, and really good journey to Bangladesh. Be safe.
Much love, Mom/Mimi
Please learn to write 'columbia' the correct way....Colombia... please. Thank you so much :)
