Since we had 8 hours left to spend in Kuching, we strolled down the street from our hotel. 5 minutes walk to the Main Bazaar. Before that we stopped by the Chinese Historical Museum for some fun facts about the interesting city. We managed to spot my great great great grandfather, Mr Lau Chek. One of the first China man to come down to Sarawak. He was close to the Rajah of Sarawak, at that period of time. One of the interesting facts I just got to know, after living for 16 years.

Main Bazaar, a street filled with shops selling different kinds of souveiners. The stuff there are cheap, as in really cheap. From keychains, to bags, to handcrafted items like swords, bags, slippers, necklaces, bracelets, anything just name it. We also managed to find different kuehs. The traditional kueh and most common ones like kueh lapis.

Since we were running out of time, last minute shopping did do us some good. Least we save quite alot. Considering the fact that we did alot of sight seeing for the past two days and the only time we shopped was at Lorong Satok. That was some serious shopping.

So that was my trip. Interesting and FUN! I enjoyed the trip, really i did. And I'm hoping to come over some time soon so that we, relatives and cousins get to bond, and not lose contact. I'll try my best to update. Till the next time I travel..

Your truly,
