We stopped here on the way to
Nelson. It is truely one of the least pleasant places i've been. There is nothing to do here and it's very grey. We escaped for a couple of hours by driving up the coast to see the Pancake rocks. These a rock formations where you can see the lines of different layers really clearly and the jutt up from the sea at the edge of the cliffs. They make for good photos and are on every New Zealand Calenda you'll ever see. It was nice. We were however doomed to spend our evening in
Greymouth where in a esperate bid to get some entertainment i went to buy a magazine, only to find they have zero music magazines in stock. They do however have several copies of "New Zealand Pig Hunter". Having decided we have nothing in common with the peaople of
Greymouth we were glad to leave hte next day.
