Where I stayed
We left our hotel in LA in the morning and headed to Phoenix. This drive took up 7 and half hours and we detoured via Venice Beach. Venice Beach is on the coast of LA and it has a recreational area at the front of the beach. They have basketball & handball courts, a muscle bar so people can work out, a park. We had our photo taken on the lifesavers towers on the beach. We did some souvenir shopping before getting back in the car for our long drive to Phoenix. As we were driving along we took some photos of the area around. There were some funny road signs and the one I missed cause I wasn't quick enough was State Penitentiary ahead then underneath it said Don't pick up hitch hikers. We arrived at Phoenix which is in the dessert at 6.30pm, when we got out the car it was very very hot bout 43 degrees. We put our bags in the room and went for a refreshing swim.
