It was about a 15 hour journey to the border! The busride as no problem. There was tons of room and I slept most of the way. From Nuevo Laredo I bought a bus ticket to San Antonio at 9 AM and expected to be in San Antonio by 1 at the latest.

The border was a bit slower than I expected. Out of all the people on the bus, I think I was the only one with an American passport, but I think I got the most hassled. I guess they thought all my third world countries in the last 6 months were sketchy! Maybe they thought I was some kind of druglord. They also threw out my apples and oranges which I wasn't very happy about! Then the bus drove and reassigned seats to everybody and did a lot of things that seemed pointless. We drove on to San Antonio. It was funny-- in my hours in Texas-- even when we were off the bus-- it was all in Spanish. Even in the places we stopped, it was only Spanish spoken. When I finally was picked up by a cab driver and started speaking in Spanish, I realized that I didn't have to! It was an expensive cab ride to thee airport-- but I was running out of time. Apparently, I shouldn't have rushed. My flight was delayed about an hour! Last bus ride-- check! Sleeping at home tonight...
