Guzzlers Inn, Church Street
Dark pub with spacious booths and decent prices on happy hour. Here we met Raj from Rushey Mead, so Mike wins the bet as to which country we'll meet the first person from Leicester. We've been here twice now, first time over the tunes weren't so good, but they were all retro last night so that was good.
NASA
Possibly the most hilarious pub in the world. Decorated to look like a spaceship, yet for some reason there's a picture of Michael Jackson set into the wall and the ladies loo has a picture of Motley Crue in it - the cheesiest picture ever. Also features Balaji, the friendliest door man in the whole of Bangalore. The cheapest pub in happy hour, one of the pricier pubs at other times.
The Sports Bar
It has a wii. You can play basketball outside in the smoking area. It is very big. You can get very very drunk here.
MacDonalds
Not a bar, but a MacDonalds. Worth visiting on account of the fact they don't do proper burgers, but things like an aloo tikka burger and a tiny serving of potato wedges for 20 rupees. Substantially cheaper than at home - we got both our meals for about 170 rs and the extra value meals come in around 100 rs (about 1,40 GPB). Worth visiting also because it's one of the few places you can easily get a meal that doesn't blow your head off, however the ubiquitous green sauce on the chicken grills is still pretty hot. Also air conditioned and has a proper toilet with loo roll which puts it right up there in Indian terms.
